Where is my office on linux which i installed using wine ?

I have installed office 2000 on my redhat linux through "Wine" command.But where is it installed i don't know.here is the complete proceedure .


concidering that i am in my home directory


$wine office/setup.exe


this installed the office


now i am trying to run it like this


$ cd ~/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/Office


$ wine winword.exe


but it does not run





plz tell me some one how should i run my program and how can i see the "drive_c/Program Files/Office" directory in .wine dir. plz also give me your e-mail address for further disscussion on this topic

It might be that you are not in the right directory. Office usually installs one more level deep in the tree... if you did a default install of office, it should look something like this:





/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/Microsoft Office/Office(number)/





with the executable being in the Office(number) folder.

perhaps, is for ubuntu, the structure should be the same, and if you need (urgent) to create .doc or excel documents you can use Opensource (OpenOffice.org) that works great with all microsoft extensions.
