Linux questions again?
What do you need to know? You need to know how to find information on the internet, not post questions that have been answered numerious times in yahoo answers and elsewhere.
Use "Search for questions" in yahoo answers - it is above your question
Use www.google.com "key words you want" for really good and thorough information, on anything you would like to know.
Linux, with rare exception is a free download. www.distrowatch.com gets you to 360+ different distros. Choose from one of the top 4 or 5.
If you feel like you don't know how to download and burn a cd, buy one, but if you can't figure out downloading you probably should stay with windoze. The same applies if you don't want to be bothered doing some online research and reading - try mac instead!
Reply:There are several versions of Linux available for free download. Since you're obviously a newbie, I recommend that you go to ubuntu.com and download the Ubuntu Live CD. It's free and completely safe - no spyware or viruses. You download the image of the Live CD and burn it to CD, then you can boot off of that CD and run it. When you get done, shut down the computer and remove the CD and you can boot back into Windows again. That will give you an idea of what it's like. There are also forums there where people will be happy to help you with any questions or problems.
